Model too big but still printable? - MistaBreed - 11-19-2019

Hi,
I am wondering if it is possible to print sth. that is bigger than my printing volume. Normally it should only cure the resin on the building area, so the print should be working, or not?

Anyone any experience with this?

I want to print a Handystand that is slightly to big. I don't want to scale down, because I need original size for the plugs and cables and everything. So only a little bit at the upper end is not in the building area and a very small part at the bottom.

Anyone who had the courage to print bigger?

I made a print in that way. The original item was too big so I decided to let it overlap the build plate on one side. It printed pretty well and just the part that overlapped was missing as one would expect.

... it won't cure areas outside the physical display-size ...
