Curing in water - William63 - 07-03-2020

Just a question about curing.

We are in summer, so for curing I use direct sunlight for 20-30 minutes. I read tht many peoples do the same, but they place the parts in water.

Is it better than direct sunlight ? If it is, can somebody explain me why ?

Many thanks !

I find it can help prevent cracking (mostly surface fracturing) I have seen on some parts.

I was surprised to find the resin heats up quite a bit as it cures, i put some raw resin in a small plastic bag to test my converted microwave curing oven (click here); it got rather hot (120°+ F)  in just 30 seconds...
