New issue during printing. Exposure over much of build plate

My new Mars 2 mono has been working fantastically from the get go. However recently I'm getting this situation in which when I attempt to print anything, including the test rooks models, there is a thin layer of exposed resin spanning much of the build plate getting exposed to the curing uv light that is certainly not part of the 3d model. 

I've tried re leveling and it didn't seem to make a difference. 

Could it be a screen problem? 

Does anyone know what could cause this?
