Mars 2 Pro - unable to lift built plate

The build plate is stuck in the down position and I'm unable to lift it using the manual options under Tools. Its making a horrible loud brrrrr noise when I attempt to lift using the manual buttons. Looks like it got stuck in the down position about 15 minutes into a print (I came back to the room because I could hear the loud brrrrr noise)

Any ideas as to 1. whats caused it to stick and 2. how I go about fixing it.

I've had the printer a year to the day (it was a birthday present last year and it just so happens to be my birthday today.... and this happened )

Sounds like the resin has adhered to both plate and FEP

Carefully release the tank (don't spill resin!) , and plate , raise the head and remove both together , then you can drain the uncured resin and wash the tank and plate ( so you don't get too much resin on yourself) then peel the part from the FEP.

If the motor will not lift : power off and twist the leadscrew to lift the plate
