Saturn S prints a mirror image!
#1
Hi there

Been printing, after I have changed the LCD screen, and it's all a mirror image! Is the screen upside down or have I put the ribbon cable in wrongly?

Check the mirror setting in the slicer .

If the cable was wrong it would not work (ask me how i know;-)) - I don't think it is possible to get the screen upside down

No, your cable is probably fine. I have a Saturn 3 (NON Ultra). It ALWAYS prints mirror. Since Day 1.

It's not the XY axis setting either. Settings don't matter. Mirror ON or OFF, I get mirrored prints. I've been "pre-mirroring" in Lychee Slicer so that the part comes out correct. An easy and simple hack. BUT, I forget a lot. Easy to forget, especially if the part is symmetrical, it doesn't matter, so you don't think about it.

It seems others have the same problem and no one has a real fix.

Very frustrating. I bet that your printer has the same bug. My friend has a Sat 3 Ultra and he doesn't have a problem. But lots of others seem to, Sat 3 and Sat 3 Ultra, and Sat 4. It happens in Lychee AND VoxelDance Tango. So it's probably the machine. I'm contacting Elegoo, but not holding my breath. Good luck.
