my eleggo mars 2 is binding and cant fix it :-(

Hi all can sme one please help i canot get my eleggo mars 2 to work :-( the rodd that goes up and down got stuck last night. and wont go up or down. Ive watched you tube videos and have taken it off cleaned and re gresed everything but its still the same it just grinds and wont go up or down. :-( The main rod moves freely but as soon as i re atach the parts to the rod it wont work. can some one please help? Its 2nd had and only had it just over a week and its my first 3D printer in halfway though printing an model and want to print the other parts please please can some one advise me. Im at a total loss and dont know what to do :-(
just took the motor and rod out and it will spin to go up but wont spin to go down. dose this mean the motor and rod are broken? and can you get parts for it i cant find any online anywere :-(
