I'm Ted and live in Naples, FL. I moved here fromt the San Francisco Bay area
I recently started 3D printing with a Saturn 2 8K. I use ABS-like resin in gray and black.
I have an online scale model detailing website and I am making my own products.
I was using a 5-axis CNC machine, but 3D printing is much faster and easier for what I'm makding.
I am designing my parts through Fusion 360 and I use Chitubox Pro for the CTB files.
I have attached two photos of my current design project. It is a tubular chassis for a 1/25 scale Pro Stock/Pro Mod Mustang by Competition Resins.
I have the suspensioin points set for Futuattraction's products.
People purchase resin bodies but can't find a model kit for a chassis and/or don't want to make their own from scratch. I designed the chassis so that the wheelbase can be 'stretched' to fit other resin bodies. In the works are chassises for a couple of Altereds.
I look forward to learning all I can from the members and welcome any feedback, good or bad. I am anxious to learn.
