Saying Hello from Dorset
#1
I thought for my first post, I’d introduce myself without giving too much personal info away. I live in Bournemouth with my wife and son.

Already having a Creality Ender 3 FDM printer and being a model maker in 1/72 scale, I have found limitations to printing smaller/detailed missing/damaged parts.
So I thought that a MSLA printer would be the answer.
Being on a budget, I took to eBay to find a suitable used printer.
One came up approx 5 miles from me which would have been perfect - if I hadn’t forgotten the finish time , so I missed it.
So after a little while, a used Mars 2 (green) appeared at a £45 starting price, listed as untested.I thought it was worth a try and eventually won it for £72.

It arrived 3 days later in a Mars 2 Pro box with the power supply, lid, build plate and resin vat.
The lid is fairly messy with dried resin and the rubber seal is missing.
The touchscreen works and the uv screen appears intact and working.
There was no flash drive with either.

I’m quite looking forward to printing with the MSLA printer and I know it won’t be plain sailing every time.
I’m hoping to learn a lot about this style of printing to get the best out of it.
