Reduce Smell Ideas
#1
I was thinking of putting masking tape around the edge of the cover where it meets the base to help reduce odor... Has anyone tried this? Will this help?
Thoughts?

This may sound funny, but makes sense. I haven't personally tried it, but I've read where someone actually added a few drops of scented essential oil to the resin mix.

I've wanted to try it on a lithophane print, just haven't had the time yet.

With the fan extracting the air from the unit I wouldn’t imagine that ceiling the case would be a good idea or very effective. Just a thought.

the fan is only cooling the LED in the bottom part, there is NO air going to the top part,
and YES i do it all the time, adding masking tape arrond the lit,
all smels are compleetly gone, happy wife too.
when i need to work with it, it only takes a short time, then i open a window,
do the work, clean up, throw out all paper tovels,
and close window again. nice and easy no more smell

Amusing.  This "thing" is measuring 21.5 meters wide by 21.3 meters long by 11 meters high when importing into Rhino3D. That's a print volume I can respect!

The model units are meters.  Methinks this is more likely millimeters.  I'll check my Mars when it arrives Friday to see if that's what's needed to fit.  I certainly don't intend to buy an FDM printer to print something for my SLA printer, and I think the resin I have coming will be suitable.

People definitely react to resin odors differently, but many have claimed that Elegoo resins don't smell as bad as many others do. I don't have issues with Elegoo resin, and haven't felt any need to try "potentially worse smelling" resins.
