The head goes straight upward and lifts the orange cover off the machine. I have nothing but issues with this thing. I have maybe made about 10 successful prints. Now I cant even get the files to print. I get an immediate Print done error and the head shoots up to the top as fast as it can go..even making a rubbing noise because it seems that it wants to keep going up but there is no more thread left on the xis rods.
Please advise.
Thanks
Joe

what happend if you move the axis manual?
try a "dry run" without the buildplate and theVAT to check the endstop.
any changes on printer firmware (which one) or slicer (wich one) ?

Sounds like an issue with the zero location. It's trying to go home, but thinks that's way up above.
Make sure it's not losing any steps from slipping/grinding/etc. ( if it is, regrease ), then bring it back down and reset zero.
