I'm a long time 3d arttist working in the VFX industry, but I always wanted to do props or miniature sculptures. So I learn to do it with clay, mold making, casting, etc.
I soon as I saw 3d printing resin quality I went buy a Formlab Form1+ used from a Jeweller who did want to upgrade.
Turn out all the print I did fail and the expensive vat (100$) was always scrap because of the curing in the bottom. Or the prints were failing by curing just on one side. So I stock it and start printing from a friend of mine in pla.
But when Elegoo offer a resin printer with similar quality that I was looking for, I jump on it
I did learn a lot because of youtuber and personal fails. But the joy is way there! And the time im saving with 3d print versus traditional sculpting is like heaven
I plan to buy the Saturn also because I have bigger dreams
