SOLVED MANY THANKS bottom of model not being printed correctly
#1
Hi

I have an Elegoo Mars and i am having some really strange goings on

just printed out 3 flat bottomed open topped simple cubes, one its printed correctly the other two have not got flat bottoms they are curved to one side and you can see each individual layer. The bottom layer printed about 30% then the next one about 32% and so on giving a sloped appearance. this is with the water resin.

I am finding with the ordinary resin that the models tend to stick to the film.
I have just installed a new light and two new resin tanks, but i still cannot get a reliable print out of the thing

Many thanks
Sandra

ps it worked fine for months not it doesnt

What do you mean by installing a "new light"? Are you referring to the LCD shutter or the light source beneath the LCD?

"...worked fine for months" is generally an indication of a failed LCD.

Can you post photos of the failed prints?

As you indicated last time i had a problem i bought and installed the LCD. Since then I have replaced the film in all the resin trays as well.

I still cannot print anything reliably, this printer worked for 300 or so hours all the way through the summer. Now i cannot get a decent print out of it.

Please see all photos that i have taken recently

Those are water based resin, the third one shows and example that worked and one that didnt, the bottom is supposed to be flat

Brand new resin tray never been used with the bases stuck to the film

Brand new bottle of resin, this shows that the base isnt sticking properly and is giving the same result as weith the water based resin

New film base on resin tank, brand new resin and it is sticking one piece the other two pieces were in the next photo up

Try bumping the exposure to 8 to 9 s--here are the settings I use for Elegoo's gray standard resin:

Thank you for your speedy reply.
I have set the printer off on a really quick print so will let you know the outcome in about 40 minutes
Thank you
