Grinding noise.
#1
Howdy y'all,

I went through the setup process with the paper and got my printer going. The first test print failed on the first layer. No big deal I'll adjust it and try again. When I went to try a print for the second time I had a horrible grinding noise. ( https://youtu.be/UPgolPIP7Ww ) I can't find any posts with this issue So I'm hoping someone on here will have an idea of what I need to do going forward.

Im hopping in bed so I wont be able to reply for a bit.

Thanks for the help

Just setup my saturn for the first time...having the same issue.   First print of rook did not print anything.   Created my own test file and start my second print and the build plate goes down all the way then starts making the horrible grinding noise.   I reset set the Z to zero and repeated my own test print...and same thing.   Power cycled unit and trying to print test rook and same noise.

Just got my Saturn going again.   I unplugged the power for 1hr, reset to zero and still the same.   Unplugged power over night, removed, cleaned and re-zero build plate.   Removed VAT, drained and cleaned VAT.   This is where I found my issue...while cleaning out the VAT I found 2 round discs from the rooks that failed to stick to build plate!   Those 2 discs where preventing the build plate from reaching zero.   Hope this helps.

happy printing
