Flexi plate

Hello all I am new to 3D printing and have purchased a mars 2 pro, and have on order a bigtreetech Flexi plate, from Amazon, but am a bit unsure if I will need a z axis spacer, I have read that some printers don’t need one fitted
Can anyone advise me if I need one on my machine
