Unable to change gcode settings.

I've been trying to set M8489 to P1 to resolve some splashing issues but seems like no matter what I do, it won't save/apply on the machine.

If I dump the active gcode settings with M8512.  I don't even see M8489 in the exported file.  The file itself seems to be the firmware default. 

I tried to flash on previous firmware versions and still luck.  If I dump the active gcode it changes depending which firmware I use, so V4.4.3.... or V4.3.13... shows up as a comment in the first line.

I've tried .gcode or .txt extensions as well.  I've started with the gcode in the firmware download.  Tried making a file from scratch with just M8489 and M8500. 

I seem to be "printing" the files fine because the dump gcode worked with no issue.
