.CTB files on a plain 'ol Mars...
#1
[FWIW--I have not seen any mention of this, anywhere--may be common knowledge-IDK]

Well, not exactly "'ol", in fact brand new last week--in any event just out of curiosity, last Saturday,  I used ChituBox's (1.6.3) Mars Pro printer driver to slice a FreeCAD (0.18.4) generated /STL file.

The resulting file printed fine (been using the .CTB files since then), and was MUCH smaller than the .CBDDLP format files.

Here are the file sizes (all from the same .STL file):

CrankAndKnobForMScopeStand-V5-LABNub.cbddlp       - 262.8 MB
CrankAndKnobForMScopeStand-V5-LABNub.ctb                     - 3.8 MB

Using the Longer Orange 10 .lgs format:
CrankAndKnobForMScopeStand-V5-LABNub.lgs                     - 2.1 MB

Using the Anycubic Photon 10 .photon format:
CrankAnd
KnobForMScopeStand-V5-LABNub.photon               - 32.9 MB

Clearly Longer's proprietary format is the winner, however the ChituBox .ctb is a close runner-up.

Here's a shot of the "system/information" screen (the s/n tag says it's an "M13xxx" serires:

BTW, in case anyone cares, here is what I was printing:
